Arezou - A Film by Sophia Moghaddam-Kiapos

A new film is currently in pre-production in Los Angeles, California and Toronto, Ontario. 'Arezou' will tell a Persian tale about a young girl who discovers the secret world of an underground ballet group in post-revolution Iran and rewrites her destiny.

The film will star Shohreh Aghdashloo, the Iranian actress who was Oscar nominated for her performance in 'House of Sand and Fog' in which she performed opposite Sir Ben Kingsley.

'Arezou' is produced by Chelsea Winstanly, whose film 'JoJo Rabbit' saw her Oscar nominated in the Best Film category, whilst her husband Taika Waititi, who wrote and directed the film, won an Academy Award for his outstanding script.

Sophia Kiapos has written and will direct 'Arezou', a film which she says has been inspired in part by Haideh and Nejad Ahmadzadeh:

"A phenomenally deep and profound impact has been made in my life through the visionaries that are the Ahmadzadeh's. Aida and Nejad Ahmadzadeh are true pioneers and to carry on their precious legacy and bright light is one of the many missions behind the film, 'Arezou.'"
